MGT346Support is a personal support help desk operated by Paul Hillman for students in his course sections. It is not an official Grand Valley State University service, and this page is not a university policy.
Information collected
When you submit the request form, this app stores the information you enter: your name, course section, student email address, phone number, the category and subject you choose, and the description of what you need help with. The exact date and time of your submission is recorded, along with whether you chose to receive text message updates.
How the information is used
The information is used only to respond to your support request and to track it through to resolution. Support staff for this help desk are the only people who can sign in and view request details, internal notes, and contact information.
Mobile numbers and text messages
- Mobile opt-in information and text message consent are never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
- Text message updates are optional. You are not required to opt in to submit a request or to receive support, and you can choose email or a phone call instead.
- Text messages are only sent to a mobile number when you explicitly check the text message consent box on the request form. Entering a phone number, or choosing “Text message” as your preferred method, does not by itself enable text messages.
- Message frequency varies — messages are sent in response to activity on your own support request, so some requests generate no messages and others generate a few.
- Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan.
- Reply STOP to opt out of further messages, or HELP for help.
Service providers
This app uses a small number of service providers to operate: Lovable Cloud (application hosting and database), Resend (email delivery — both notifications to support staff and confirmation/update emails to students who choose email as their contact method), and Twilio (text message delivery, when text messaging is enabled). These providers process information only to deliver those services on behalf of this help desk, not for their own marketing.
Your choices
You can ask that your text message consent be turned off, or ask a question about your information, by submitting a request through the request form on this site and describing what you would like changed.
Text message terms
See the SMS Terms for the specific terms that apply to text message updates.
