SMS Terms & Conditions
Version 2026-09-12
These terms apply to optional text message updates from MGT346Support, a personal student support help desk operated by Paul Hillman. It is not an official Grand Valley State University service.
Program description
If you check the text message consent box on the request form, MGT346Support may send you short text updates about your own support request — for example, that the request was received, that someone is working on it, that more information is needed, or that it has been resolved. Messages do not include the private contents of your request or any internal support notes.
Optional enrollment
Enrollment is optional and requires you to explicitly check the consent box. You do not need to opt in to submit a request or to receive support, and you may choose email or a phone call as your preferred contact method instead. Providing a phone number by itself does not opt you in.
Message frequency
Message frequency varies. Messages are triggered by activity on your own request, so some requests result in no messages and others in several.
Cost
Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier’s standard charges apply to messages you receive and to any reply you send.
Opting out and getting help
Reply STOP to any message to opt out of further text updates, or HELP for help. You can also submit a request through the request form asking that text updates be turned off. Opting out of text messages does not close your support request; staff will follow up using email or a phone call instead.
Carriers and delivery
Text messages are delivered through Twilio. Delivery depends on your mobile carrier and is not guaranteed; carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Privacy
Mobile opt-in information and text message consent are not sold or shared with third parties for their own marketing. See the Privacy Policy for details.
